St. Augustine police said Crnkovich robbed a convenience store in the 800 block of South Ponce Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Investigators said a clerk watched Crnkovich crouching near an ice cream cooler with his T-shirt partially covering his face before he told the clerk, "This is a robbery," and implied that he had a gun.

Crnkovich is also suspected in a robbery four hours later at a store in the 100 block of King Street. Charges in that case are pending.

Less than $100 was taken during both robberies. Police have not yet recovered the cash.
