Teen killed in St. Johns County crash 18-year-old man dies in single-vehicle crash
HASTINGS, Fla. – A Hastings man died early Friday morning when his pickup truck left the road, hit some trees and overturned.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Shawn Allen Hagene, 18, was driving west on State Road 206 west of Interstate 95 just before 3 a.m. when he veered left off the road and his pickup collided with two trees and overturned.
St. Johns Fire-Rescue personnel responded and pronounced Hagene dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
Troopers said Hagene was wearing his seat belt. Investigators are still looking into whether alcohol was involved.
