Woman killed, husband injured in Pierce County home invasion Sheriff's Office looking for person of interest in case No description found
BLACKSHEAR, Ga. – A Pierce County woman died and her husband was critically injured Sunday night in a home-invasion robbery at their home on Doris Road, just north of Patterson.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said there was an evidence of a struggle and victims, both in their 80s, suffered blunt-force injuries.
The woman's name has not been released pending notification of immediate family, but the sheriff's office said the couple are in the 80s.
Deputies are looking for a person of interest in the case who they believe was known to the victims. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 912-449-2011.
