TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A Lake City man's Saturday Fantasy 5 drawing wins him $256,438 and earns more than $330,000 for education, the Florida Lottery announced Wednesday.

Thomas bought the quick-pick ticket was purchased at S&S Food in Lake City. This is the 13th Fantasy 5 top prize-winning ticket purchased in Lake City in the past 10 years.
Florida voters approved a constitutional amendment in 1986 authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
The Florida Lottery has funded Bright Futures scholarships for more than 500,000 Florida students to attend college in Florida.
Floridians continue to show their support by purchasing billions of dollars in Lottery products per year, resulting in contributions of more than $22 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund since 1988.
