A man was shot in the finger in the New Town neighborhood Saturday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded to the 300 block of West 5th Street at around 9:20 p.m.

The man was treated at the scene by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. He was then transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
