2 found dead in apparent murder-suicide at Palatka home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After investigating when two people were found dead in a Palatka home early Wednesday morning, police said the deaths appear to be a case of murder-suicide.
Police have not identified the pair but said family has been notified.
Investigators taped off the perimeter of the home on North 19th Street, and the street was closed around 9:30 a.m. between Washington and Ocean streets.
Police are still investigating the incident but they said they do not believe there is any threat to the community.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Crime Scene unit and the Medical Examiner’s Office are helping detectives process the scene.
No further information has been released.
