Man shot multiple times found dead outside Westside aparment Jacksonville’s first homicide of 2021

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – At 11:15 p.m. Friday night, Jacksonville police received a call about a shooting and found a man dead at the Magnolia Terrace apartments on Hyde Park Road.
Homicide detectives said the man, shot several times, was on the ground in the courtyard between two buildings. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
JSO asks anyone with information about the ongoing murder investigation and anyone else involved to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS or JSO at 904-630-0500.
This was the first homicide in Jacksonville this year. The city reported 176 homicides in 2020 -- a record high for the last two decades.
