Man hurt in Arlington shooting, Jacksonville police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Arlington area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said they responded around 9:20 p.m. to a call about a person, who had been shot, walking along Arlington Expressway.

The Sheriff’s Office said the man was found at a nearby gas station with non-life-threatening injuries to his leg. He was taken to a hospital.

The man told police he was robbed at gunpoint and then shot, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives continue to investigate.
