Police search for arsonist who set fire at UNF baseball stadium
The University of North Florida's Harmon Stadium (WJXT)
Someone set part of the University of North Florida’s baseball stadium on fire overnight, prompting an arson investigation.
The University of North Florida Police Department said it happened just after midnight at the Harmon Baseball Stadium.
Police found part of the left field wall, netting and a ladder on fire. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue firefighters were able to put the fire out.
A portion of the fence at UNF's Harmon Stadium was damaged by fire overnight. (WJXT) They said it appeared to have been set by an unknown accelerant. There were no injuries reported.
Police had no suspect information.
