Police find woman dead in Jacksonville after man calls 911, says he killed someone

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police officers found a woman dead on Friday after a man called 911 and told a dispatcher that he had killed someone.
It’s not clear if dispatchers traced the call or if the man freely gave a location but a news release from the Sheriff’s Office said officers arrived at a location near Wilson Boulevard and Fouraker Road on the westside and found the woman dead.
Police arrested 62-year-old Steven Allen McInnis. He’s charged with murder, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The news release did not give the time of the day the 911 call was made or when officers arrived. It also did not say where the woman was found, outside or inside a structure.
