1 dies in apartment shooting on Jacksonville’s Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One juvenile male is dead after a shooting on Jacksonville’s Westside.

Around 7 p.m. the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said it was called to the 6000 block of 103rd St for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, a juvenile male was found shot, JSO said. He was transported to a local hospital where he was in stable condition.

Shortly after the first call, JSO received another call about a person shot a few blocks over at the 5000 block of Moret Dr. E. Officers there found a second juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound, he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Based on information gathered by JSO the two were involved in an altercation at an apartment building in the 6000 block of 103rd St. where gunshots were fired.
