Death of 23-month-old under investigation by Lake City police

LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Lake City Police Department is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 23-month-old, according to a news release the department issued Monday.
The Police Department said officers were dispatched Friday morning to Southwest Theresa Court to investigate the report of a unresponsive child.
According to investigators, officers and firefighters discovered the 23-month-old deceased in the home.
The Police Department and agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are investigating. No further information was available to be released.
