Young person injured in boating accident along August Drive, JFRD says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department on Tuesday was sent to investigate a boating accident in a body of water along August Drive on the Northside.
According to JFRD, a child and father were on board the boat when they struck a sandbar. The young person was taken to a hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Crews are responding to a marine incident near the 9800 block of August drive…Marine 38 has made contact and is assessing the situation.
