Main Street Bridge closed for a short time Friday as workers repair crash cushions
JACKSONVILLE, Fla – The Florida Department of Transportation closed the Main Street Bridge Friday afternoon to perform emergency work on the bridge’s crash cushions.
Crash cushions are designed to lessen the impact of a crash and act as shock absorbers.
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported the bridge closure 1:01 p.m. Friday. It reopened about 30 minutes later.
