Man suffers critical injuries in shooting on Westside: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was critically wounded Wednesday night in a shooting in the Sweetwater neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Officers said when they arrived at Jammes Road near the Arbor Oaks apartment complex at 7:30 p.m. they found the man in a parking lot. He had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition.
Another person was detained and is being questioned, police said.
Investigators are working to learn more about what led to the shooting and ask anyone who may have information to call JSO at 904-630-0500 or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
