JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is in life-threatening condition after a Sunday morning shooting during a fight on the Westside.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the man in his 30s got into a fight with the suspected shooter around 10 a.m. inside a home on Jason Drive.
The man was shot in the chest during the fight, JSO said, before neighbors saw a vehicle speeding away.
JSO said it is still working to get a suspect and vehicle description.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was undergoing surgery as of Sunday afternoon, JSO said.
