JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man who was employed by a Southside charter school was arrested earlier this month and accused of three counts of sexual battery.
According to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office report, Rocky Benker, 24, is accused of battery on a victim or victims less than 12 years old in his home last year.
The JSO arrest report listed Benker as a custodian at Cornerstone Classical Charter School on St. Johns Bluff Road.
The details of what led to the arrest are redacted in the report, but he was taken into custody on Jan. 5 stemming from an incident that allegedly happened last year.
A school spokesperson told News4JAX that Benker is no longer employed at the school and was fired the day after his arrest.
The school also said the charges do not involve a student from Cornerstone Classical.
Jail records showed Benker was still in custody on Tuesday and being held on no bond. His next court date is Jan. 26.
