DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – A man is dead, and two others are in serious condition after a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 17 and Yellow Bluff Road according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 10:45 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the crash report, the first vehicle was traveling south, and the second was heading north on U.S. Highway 17.
The driver of the first car veered into the northbound lane causing the cars to crash, FHP says.
Both vehicles collided on the driver’s side, sending both the cars into the grass shoulder of the highway.
Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The driver of the first car died at the scene.
According to FHP, the driver and passenger of the second car are both in the hospital with critical injuries.
