Michael Walley’s sister, Erica, says their family grew up around motorcycles.
She says they learned from the very beginning that safety was key. Walley’s sister said her brother always took safety seriously.

“That was the biggest rule. If you ride, you ride safe,” she said. “And I feel like even with that, he was still tragically killed.”
Walley, 35, was critically injured in a crash Feb. 23 at 103rd Street & La Ventura Drive East and died Sunday from his injuries.
The 35-year-old leaves behind his family, including his wife and two young children.
“He wanted a wife, he wanted kids, he wanted, you know, like, the all-American dream,” Erica Walley said. “And I feel like that’s what he was living.”
She has a message for other drivers out on the road:
“I would say look three times before you go,” she said. “And motorcycles deserve the right of way. Regardless if you like them or not, you always give motorcycles the right of way.”
A GoFundMe has been created to help the Walley family financially as they prepare for a memorial on Saturday.
