Crews recover body of missing swimmer in Atlantic Beach Multiple agencies were involved in search
Police and lifeguards respond to report of missing swimmer (News4JAX)
NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. – Less than a day after the U.S. Coast Guard, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue and beaches police officers started searching for a missing swimmer Tuesday night, a body was found Wednesday morning.
Atlantic Beach Police confirmed crews located a man’s body in the water just north of 19th Street in Atlantic Beach.
Multiple lifeguards were seen in the water near Ahern Street on Tuesday night searching for the swimmer. The Coast Guard had a boat assisting in the search as well.
Police have not released the identity of the man who was found.
