JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a 45-year-old woman died in a crash on Interstate 95.
An SUV was traveling south on I-95 at Golfair Boulevard on Saturday just before 3:30 p.m, according to FHP.
For unknown reasons, the driver of the SUV ran off the roadway and hit a tree, FHP said.
According to the crash report, a 45-year-old woman was driving, and an 11-year-old child was in the passenger seat.
Both were not wearing their seatbelt, the report stated.
They were both transported to the hospital with serious injuries and the woman was pronounced dead.
