Motorcyclist dies in Atlantic Boulevard crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Traffic was back to normal on Atlantic Boulevard on Thursday afternoon in the Woodland Acres neighborhood following a fatal motorcycle accident in the morning.

According to police, a motorcycle rider was heading west on Atlantic near Century 21 Drive when they rear-ended a sedan.

The rider died and the driver of the sedan was not hurt.

The westbound lanes of Atlantic Boulevard were blocked for several hours while police investigated.
