1-year-old dead after car flips over on I-295 near Merrill Road

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in the Arlington area.

FHP says the car was traveling north on I-295 just south of Merrill Road when it struck the guardrail and several palm trees and flipped over.

According to FHP, it happened early Sunday morning, around 12:35 a.m. on Interstate 295 near Merrill Road.

A one-year-old died and four others were injured, according to FHP.

Two of the injured are children with minor injuries.
