Deadly Christmas night shooting on Jacksonville’s Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was killed Christmas night in a shooting in the College Park area of Jacksonville’s Northside, police said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called around 8:30 p.m. Monday to Penny Cove Lane after reports that someone had been shot.
Paramedics responded, but the man died at the scene.
According to JSO Sgt. Ray Reeves, the police were called to an argument earlier in the day at the same location, and it appears that sometime later one of those involved in the argument returned to the area and was possibly involved in the shooting.
Investigators said several people were taken into custody and were cooperating with the investigation.
