JSO makes arrest in murder case from Sept. 2023

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announce the arrest of a man wanted for a September 2023 murder.
Police say Roberto Carlos Garcia Velez, 43, was located Friday by SWAT personnel.
Police say on September 2, 2023 they responded to Old Kings Road South for a shooting. There they located an adult male who was transported to a hospital where he died.
In addition to a murder charge, Velez also face a possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charge.
