A 40-year-old Orange Park woman is dead after walking into the path of an SUV on Blanding Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A crash report shows the SUV was heading south on Blanding Boulevard near Woodside Drive in Orange Park when it struck the woman.

The driver then pulled over to help the woman.
Other witnesses in the area also stopped to render aid until first responders arrived on the scene.
The woman was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where she later died.
