Motorcyclist dies in crash on 103rd Street near Approach Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist died early Saturday in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on 103rd Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said around 1 a.m., a 38-year-old man riding a motorcycle was traveling in the inside travel lane westbound on 103rd Street near Approach Road. At the same time, a 51-year-old man driving a tractor-trailer was traveling in the outside travel lane.

According to FHP, the tractor-trailer began to turn into the inside travel lane and ended up crashing with the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, from Jacksonville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
