GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office sent out a Safer Watch alert on Tuesday morning after it received a threat against the law enforcement facilities in Green Cove Springs.
The alert said that “out of an abundance of caution,” more deputies and Green Cove Springs police officers would be seen in the area on Tuesday.
Anyone entering the Administration Building, Jail or Courthouse can be searched, the alert said.
The Sheriff’s Office headquarters, jail and the Clay County courthouse are on North Orange Avenue, the main strip running through Green Cove Springs.
