JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Five people were rescued by the Coast Guard after their vessel capsized on Sunday.
According to Coast Guard Station Mayport, it received a call for help from a capsized vessel approximately 11 miles east of the Mayport Jetties. The passengers were safely recovered and transferred to awaiting family members at the Mayport Boat Ramp.
The Coast Guard congratulated its officers on a successful rescue and a job well done.
