Man dies in Northside shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot and killed on Monday in a neighborhood on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said it responded to the Cambridge Estates, across the street from FSCJ North Campus, around 4 p.m. and found the man who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

JSO said the unidentified man who died and the apparent shooter knew each other and the classification of the shooting is pending.

Detectives with the JSO Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating what happened.
