All lanes reopen on Buckman Bridge after ‘law enforcement investigation’

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two lanes of I-295 going Northbound over the Buckman Bridge were closed Thursday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to noon for a law enforcement investigation, the Florida Department of Transportation said Thursday. The lanes reopened and traffic cleared around 2 p.m.

Florida Highway Patrol said it was investigating a two-car crash in which one car rear-ended another, resulting in a fatality.

Traffic has returned to normal.
