Woman charged with murder of 34-year-old man found dead inside Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was arrested and charged with the murder of a 34-year-old man who was found dead Sunday night inside a home on 3rd Avenue, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police officers responded to the home in the Riverview neighborhood around 9:40 p.m. to check on the man’s well-being and found him dead inside the home, JSO said.
Police identified the man as 34-year-old Devvin D’Andre McCray. They have not said how he died.

Three people were detained for questioning at the scene.
Investigators said they worked with the Medical Examiner’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office and arrested 27-year-old Brittany Nichelle Bryant on Monday morning.
Bryant was charged with second-degree murder and was set to appear in court Monday afternoon.
Police have not said how or if Bryant and McCray know each other.
