Northeast Florida veterans gather in Jacksonville to learn of resources, support available to them

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The largest gathering of veterans took place Saturday at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena.
The 2024 Summer Event was hosted by the local organization Vets4Vets, and it included 75 organizations that support veterans and their families.
Vets4Vets resources (Copyright 2024 by WJXT News4JAX - All rights reserved.) This quarterly event helps vets meet other vets and those who want to support vets all in one place.
“It also allows the leadership of the various organizations to come and present to the greater veteran population, so it keeps them informed and also helps them and their families plug into needed benefits that are there and services that are there throughout our area that some of them may not be aware of,” Jacksonville City Council At-large Position 5 Chris Miller said.
The event helped to keep veterans and their families connected and how they can help each other.
