DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – U.S. Border Patrol agents seized more than two pounds of fentanyl after a package washed ashore in Daytona Beach and was found by a Good Samaritan, Andrew Scharnweber, Interim Chief Patrol Agent of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Miami Sector, said.
Scharnweber posted a photo showing the fentanyl on Sept. 5 and left a message for individuals who may find themselves in similar situations.

“Warning - Do not attempt to disturb or handle any suspicious packages along the shoreline,” Scharnweber said. “Contact local authorities immediately.”
