CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A former Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested Monday after he was accused of falsifying a police report to cover up a crash that he caused, according to the CCSO.
Deputy Tyler North was driving a CCSO vehicle on Blanding Boulevard near the intersection of Blairmore Boulevard when he rear-ended another car.

The sheriff’s office said North spoke to the other driver before he left the scene without making a police report. He later completed the report that included “false statements as to how the damage occurred to his agency-issued vehicle,” according to the CCSO.
North was put on administrative leave while under investigation.
North has worked for the sheriff’s office since Nov. 7, 2023. He was immediately terminated on Monday, Nov. 4.
He had no prior disciplinary history.
