United Health and Ascension Health Florida are negotiating a deal with a deadline fast approaching. Are you worried? This could affect four hospitals in Northeast Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – United Healthcare has announced it’s currently in negotiations with Ascension Health Florida regarding the two parties’ network relationship.
The insurance provider wrote on its website: “If we are unable to reach an agreement, Ascension Health Florida’s hospitals, facilities and its physicians will be out of network for the following plans, effective May 1, 2025:
Medicare Advantage plans, including Dual Special Needs Plans (DSNP) and Group Retiree
Employer-sponsored commercial plans
UnitedHealthcare Community Plan (Medicaid)"
