Shooting on Jacksonville’s Westside leaves man dead: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man died Thursday morning following a shooting on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting occurred on Wheat Road around 4 a.m., JSO said.
When officers arrived at the scene, the agency said they found a man in his late 30s suffering from gunshot wounds. After being taken to a hospital, medical personnel said he died from his injuries.
