Golden Isles Air Show Sunday event cut short due to severe weather, event organizers say

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Event organizers with the Golden Isles Air Show said that the rest of Sunday’s show has been canceled due to severe weather.

"The event has made the difficult decision that the rest of today’s air show has been canceled due to severe weather and concern for the safety of everyone. We ask that our guests proceed home carefully from the parking lots as rain and winds may be heavy. Be safe," a Facebook post read.

Fans of the show expressed mixed reactions to the announcement.

"I had a blast. Even though today got cut short everyone that came was still able to see an amazing show with some incredible performers!" read one comment.

“As a aviation geek this is a disappointing,” another comment read.

“This made no sense you knew weather was coming in! You could have changed the events!!I can honestly say that I will Never do this again!!! Y’ALL wasted people’s hard earned money!!!,” said a disappointed commenter.

No announcement regarding refunds has been made.
