SAINT MARYS, Ga. β Starting on June 2, Cumberland Island National Seashore will begin mainland parking lot rehabilitation.
The project is expected to take around six months to complete.

Alternate parking has been arranged with the city of St. Marys, Georgia, while the parking lot is closed.

Parking lot improvements include dedicated handicap parking, permeable pavers in order to maintain proper drainage and level parking surface, better entrance and exit lot, and designated parking spaces.
They recommend that visitors unload at the visitor center before parking in the alternate area on Bartlett Street.
Allow time to complete this before ferry boarding and orientation. The ferry leaves promptly.
They ask that you use alternate parking at Oak Grove Cemetery on Bartlett St.
