Clay County deputies find human remains in Orange Park during missing person investigation

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Clay County deputies are working to identify remains found in Orange Park.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, K-9s found human remains in the woods near a home off Carter Braxton Road during an investigation to find Alfred Waymon Munson.
Alfred Waymon Munson has been missing since May 24. (WJXT) Munson was last heard from on May 24. His car — a blue 2001 Honda Civic — was found abandoned three days later on Camp Francis Johnson Road near the intersection of Bottomridge Drive.
The sheriff’s office doesn’t believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
