JSO investigating potential abduction on Easter Street

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a social media post that both individuals have been located.

This investigation continues to determine the circumstances involved.

Just before 9 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 1300 block of Easter Street for a domestic disturbance.

According to a witness, 18-year-old Vink Omar was inside a residence when Elias Armstrong, her 20-year-old ex-boyfriend, arrived and repeatedly tried to get her to come outside — even breaking a window.

Omar eventually stepped outside to speak with Armstrong, who allegedly grabbed her and tried several times to pull her away from the home.

The witness went inside to call police and, upon returning, found both individuals gone.
