Woman found dead in Atlantic Beach home; police investigating

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman found in her Atlantic Beach home on Tuesday.
The Atlantic Beach Police Department (ABPD) responded to a home on Sailfish Drive after a neighbor found the woman dead inside around 2:40 p.m.
JSO said the woman was believed to be in her 70s.
One person was detained for questioning.
It’s unclear how the woman died, but JSO said it was working with the ABPD to determine her cause of death and if there were any signs of foul play.
