According to a redacted arrest report obtained by News4JAX, Strigglers, 31, met the student in May and began communicating with her over text messages, phone calls, and social media.

Duval County School Board said it learned about the alleged relationship in August.

Police say the student eventually told an older relative about the relationship and that’s when law enforcement was notified.

Investigators say cell phones were downloaded, and detectives found explicit text messages Strigglers sent to the victim.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, and Strigglers turned himself in on Tuesday.

Duval County Public Schools said it was aware of the incident and is fully cooperating with investigations by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Children and Families.

The school district also confirmed that Strigglers was no longer employed with STA.

“We are aware that JSO is investigating this alarming report involving an STA employee. We were notified of the allegation on August 20, and the driver was immediately removed from servicing our schools. We are fully cooperating with the investigations underway by both JSO and the Department of Children and Families. Please note that bus operators are direct employees of our transportation vendors.”
