JSO Homicide Sergeant Highfill said around 1:15 a.m., officers found the man with multiple gunshot wounds.

He died at the scene, according to Highfill.

“What we understand at this point is that it was like a birthday party or something. We do not know how many individuals were there. We just know that our victim left this gathering, walked into the parking lot, and that was when the incident occurred,” Highfill said.

According to JSO, the suspects got in a dark-colored car and left the scene. Police are still trying to identify the vehicle’s make and model.

No arrests have been made. However, JSO said they are questioning multiple witnesses who are cooperating in the investigation.

According to Highfill, multiple vehicles were struck in the shooting.
