JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Comedian and actor Donnell Rawlings is set to bring his Black & Mild Tour to Jacksonville.
Rawlings, best known to many as “Ashy Larry” from Chappelle’s Show, will headline at The Comedy Zone from Oct. 3–5.
Rawlings has built a career spanning stand-up, acting and podcasting. His Netflix special, A New Day, was produced by longtime collaborator Dave Chappelle, who has praised Rawlings as a major influence on his own career.
Beyond the stage, Rawlings hosts The Donnell Rawlings Show, a podcast with millions of views and appearances from major names in comedy, music and culture. He has also appeared in HBO’s The Wire, STARZ’s BMF, HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and Pixar’s Academy Award-winning film Soul.
Rawlings said fans in Jacksonville can expect all-new material when he returns to The Comedy Zone.
“It’s uncensored, it’s raw, but not too raw,” Rawlings said. “It’s going to leave you like, I can’t believe he said half the things that he said. But that’s what comedy is about — seeing the world from a different perspective in a humorous way.”
Tickets for Rawlings’ Jacksonville shows are available now.
