Motorcyclist killed in Kings Road crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported a fatal traffic crash that occurred around 6:15 p.m. Saturday on Kings Road.
According to JSO, a man on a motorcycle in his early 20s was traveling westbound on Kings Road when he collided with a Hyundai driven southbound on Whitmore Drive.
The motorcycle struck the front driver’s side door of the Hyundai at the intersection of Kings Road and Whitmore Drive.
The rider was taken to a local hospital but died shortly after he arrived.
The other driver was also taken to the hospital and was in stable condition.
This crash marks the 134th traffic fatality in Duval County this year and the 36th involving a motorcycle.
