JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Harris Teeter will debut five new locations in different markets across the Southeast, and Jacksonville is finally one of them.

“The expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to bring high quality, fresh ingredients and exceptional customer service to more communities,” Harris Teeter said to JDR.

The store will include a full-service wine and beer bar, a Starbucks Coffee shop, and on-site pickup options.

Shoppers can also look forward to a new décor package, larger produce and meat & seafood departments, a full-service floral shop, an expanded deli and bakery with fresh pizza, an Asian hot bar, and an assortment of convenient meal solutions — plus fresh cakes and a freshly baked bread program, the JDR reported.

The opening of the new store will also create new job opportunities for 100 to 200 employees.

“We’ve seen incredible support from our customers, and this growth allows us to meet rising demand while continuing to deliver the exceptional experience our brand is known for,” Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs and customer relations, said.

The new development, which is expected to be ready for customers in spring 2026, will feature a fuel center and drive-thru pharmacy window.

The other Northeast Florida location is on Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach at 4800 1st Coast Highway.
