DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – Crews with the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast (USCG) and other agencies were searching for a “possible” person in the water near the Mayport Ferry Landing on the St. Johns River on Saturday.
According to the Coast Guard, crews began the search after an unmanned 8-foot inflatable raft was found in the water on Saturday morning.
A Coast Guard official told News4JAX they are trying to figure out exactly what happened and who the raft belongs to.
