Coast Guard searching for ‘possible’ person in the water near Mayport Ferry Landing on St. Johns River
DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – Crews with the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast (USCG) and other agencies were searching for a “possible” person in the water near the Mayport Ferry Landing on the St. Johns River on Saturday.
According to the Coast Guard, crews began the search after an unmanned 8-foot inflatable raft was found in the water on Saturday morning.
A Coast Guard official told News4JAX they are trying to figure out exactly what happened and who the raft belongs to.
Anyone with information is asked to call the USCG at 833-453-1268.
