JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for more victims who could have been assaulted by a man serving three decades behind bars.
Hugh Perry, 55, was convicted of sexual battery in September and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

JSO began its investigation in February 2022 after a woman reported to the Women’s Center SAFE Program that she did not remember how she got home after a night out in Jacksonville Beach.
A forensic analysis of the woman’s medical exam and other investigative tools led detectives to determine Perry, who had also been accused of a similar crime in 2013, had assaulted her, JSO said.
In 2023, Perry was accused of drugging another woman’s drink and stealing her belongings, an incident that happened while he was on release ahead of his trial for the 2022 assault.
