JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was transported to a hospital early Tuesday after he was injured in a shooting in the Brentwood area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said the shooting happened around 6:15 a.m. in the parking lot of a business on Golfair Boulevard near Interstate 95.

According to JSO, initial investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation over money. During that altercation, the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the man multiple times.
JSO said the man, who is in his mid-30s, was struck in the armpit, bicep and thigh. He was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they were in the process of going through surveillance video and interviewing witnesses.
“This appears to be an isolated incident where the victim knows the suspect,” JSO Sgt. Richardson said.
No official arrests have been made. But police said they were working on identifying the suspect.
